Visa for Your Umrah Journey

For the performance of Umrah – unlike Hajj – a specific Umrah or pilgrimage visa is no longer required. Entry into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is conveniently arranged via the official Tourist eVisa.

Entry with the Tourist eVisa

The Saudi Tourist eVisa explicitly permits the performance of Umrah (except during the official Hajj period). It offers maximum flexibility and can be applied for entirely online.

Visa Fees

The current fee for the official eVisa is:

  • 395 SAR (approx. EUR 90 – as of January 2026)

This fee already includes the mandatory health insurance required for your stay in Saudi Arabia.

Who Can Apply for the eVisa?

The Tourist eVisa can be easily obtained by:

  • Citizens of all EU member states and Schengen member states

  • Citizens or residents of Türkiye

  • Citizens or residents of the United Kingdom (UK)

  • Citizens or residents of the United States (USA)

Individuals holding a valid residence permit in any of the above-mentioned countries are also eligible to apply.

Important Information

  • Your passport must be valid for at least six months at the time of departure

  • The eVisa should be obtained prior to travel

  • Umrah is not permitted during the official Hajj period

  • No separate visa regulations apply to women (a Mahram is no longer required)
